The Challenge:
Creating a Brand Identity for a Utopian Vision
Santara is a personal project born from a desire to counteract the growing negativity and exclusion in the world. The core idea was to create a brand for a digital nation that would serve as an inclusive space for anyone, regardless of their background, race, religion, or nationality. This hypothetical nation needed a brand identity that could powerfully communicate its core values of connection, peace, and mutual growth. The challenge was to translate this profound, abstract concept into a tangible and compelling visual brand that embodies its Sanskrit name, "Santara," which means "connector."
The Solution:
Meaning-Driven Design & Symbolic Storytelling

Conceptualization & Naming:
The project began with a clear purpose: to create a symbol of connection and positivity. I chose the name "Santara" from the ancient Sanskrit language, a nod to Indonesian heritage, to reinforce the brand's meaning of "connector." This name serves as the foundation for the entire brand narrative, emphasizing its role as a space for people to grow together in peace and love.

Symbolic Logo Design:
My focus was on creating a logo that visually represents the core values of Santara. The logo was designed to symbolize the act of connection—bringing diverse elements together into a cohesive whole. It needed to feel both modern and timeless, reflecting a forward-looking vision built on universal values.

Visual Storytelling:
I developed a brand identity that uses colors, typography, and visual elements to tell the story of inclusivity and growth. The color palette was chosen to evoke feelings of calm, positivity, and harmony. The typography was selected for its clean, readable, and approachable quality, ensuring the brand's message is always clear and welcoming.

Holistic Branding System:
The result was a comprehensive branding project that included the logo, brand guidelines, and examples of how the identity would be applied in various contexts. This demonstrated my ability to not only design a single logo but to build a full, scalable brand system from a single, powerful idea.
